THE VALLEY OF SOCA RIVER AND ITS EMERALD WATERS
Bovec is the nerve center through which flows the most beautiful emerald-colored river in the world. We are talking about the Soča river, which crosses a unique valley next to the Triglav National Park and in which the fisherman has the possibility of fishing the mysterious marmorata trouts.




UNIC TROUT POPULATIONS IN THE WORLD 
Fishing local clubs realize an important work in the managament of the Slovenian waters. The different rivers are replenished annually with fry of different species, which allows to lodge impressive populations of:
-       Rainbow trout: It is an exotic species that has acclimated to perfection. The specimens reach large sizes.
·       Marble trout: It is the native brown trout of the Adriatic basin. It was in danger of extinction but thanks to the enhancement of its populations by fishing tourism their populations are recovering.
·       Adriatic Grayling:it is a variety of grayling unique in the world coming from the Adriatic basin.
·       Taimen and brown trout: the Taimen is a very spectacular species that is caught in the winter months.

FISHING SEASON
The fishing season in Slovenia starts in March and ends in November. The winter months of Taimen fishing are allowed.
